Ammunition Hill Museum

Ammunition HillAmmunition Hill

The Ammunition Hill Museum is located between Ramat Eshkol neighborhood and the French Hill in Jerusalem, and it is a museum and a memorial site telling the story of the Six Day War, specifically the story of the battle that occurred on the very same hill on which the museum is placed. The Ammunition Hill Battle was one of the toughest, most heroic battles in Israeli history, the battle that enabled the Israeli forces to enter into the Old City, and to release the Western Wall from the Jordanians.

The museum, built on the main Jordanian bunker from that time, is built in the shape of the bunker canals, which take the visitors through the story of the struggle to liberate Jerusalem during the Six Day War.

The display includes a wall of honor dedicated to the 182 fallen soldiers who gave their lives in the Six Day War, an interactive light show presentation, the museum exhibits and more.

The museum offers educational activities and various activities for different target audiences, children, soldiers, teenagers, adults, tourists, families and the general public. The place also serves as a location for events like graduation ceremonies, Bar or Bat Mitzvah ceremonies and more.
